Sahyogi Scheme: Care givers available plus traing scheme for youth

The National Trust has launched training and deployment of Care Givers Scheme called “Sahyogi”. Under the scheme, any Indian Citizen above 18 years; illiterate/literate; with aptitude and good health conditions is eligible to apply for Care Giver Course of 25 days training plus 4 months of internship. The course is being run by 40 registered organizations (under the National Trust), hereafter given the status of Care Giver Cell (CGC), in 22 States. A person with severe disability and the elderly i.e. the Care Seeker, desirous of availing the services of a Care Giver can apply to the respective CGC of their State/ choice online or through mail, fax etc. Kindly, log on to www.sahyogi.org.

Sanjeevani, Registered Trust (Registration Number: - 12468) is the Nodal Agency for the Sahyogi Scheme.

As on date, 426 Care Givers have completed 25 days training out of these 205 have been deployed with the Care Seekers. 334 Care Seekers applied for the services of Care Givers.
